Monday 

Fall: Sep 12-Nov 21 with Nov 28 as a make up date

Winter: 12:00pm-2:00pm, Jan 9-Mar 20, afternoons, every other week

Spring: Apr 10-May 22 with May 29 as a make-up date

Students will learn to observe the natural world with all of their senses, developing a deep connection to the earth and their peers in our outdoor classroom. We will begin each morning working together to build a fire, and then gather together for opening circle around the fire. We like to play nature-connection games, expanding our senses and awareness of nature all around us. Then we go on our adventure along the trails, into the swamp, or along the lake. Afterwards, we hike back to the fire circle for lunch and free play/exploration. Students will come back together for a time of sharing and handicraft project, learning traditional skills to create useful objects from natural materials (rope from plants, introductory wood carving, bark baskets, clay pots etc.). We close each class around the fire circle. Sharing discoveries and learning from one another develops our sense of community. Come adventure with us!
